Yin Yoga & Metal Element of Chinese Medicine

Online Weekend Workshop
with Marcela Mota & Tobias Tang

During this training you will learn about the 5 Elements of Nature, according to Chinese Medicine, diving deeper into the Metal Element, associated with the Autumn season. We will look at its main characteristics, related organs, energy pathways, yoga poses, acupressure points and associated emotions.

You will also learn how to apply this knowledge into your Yin Yoga practice, exploring the poses that support this Element, so that you can tap into your own healing powers and bring balance to body, mind and self. We will break down the Metal asanas, how to perform them safely, their modifications and the use of props.

Autumn is the time associated with the Metal Element when Nature is starting to descend and contract. It invites us to let go of that which no longer serves us and is in support of introspection, discernment and settling into ourselves. We might experience grief and sadness, a lack of self-worth or a weakened immune system when the Organs of the Metal Element, Lungs and Large Intestine are compromised. When balanced, this inward energy reaches out into the world through an expression of Gratitude, Acceptance and Clarity.

So come join us on this 10 hours online workshop and receive the tools you need to gracefully transition into this season and become the alchemist of your own life.
