The Wisdom of the Ancestors immersion is unique in it´s structure and setup. Never has such a comprehensive training of the world´s ancient healing traditions been put together in this form and weaved into an organic exploration of self and the wise medicine of Nature´s 5 Elements.

In this journey you will gain not only the theoretical knowledge, but have a direct experience of the 5 Elements according to Chinese medicine,  namely Earth, Metal, Water, Wood & Fire.

Within this framework, we will bring together tools from different ancient traditions, such as Indian Yogic practices, Shamanistic rituals and ceremonies,  and combine them with the latest findings from the scientific community  – thus bridging science and spirituality.

The program

The program is 22 days, structured in 5 modules, one for each Element.In each module we will explore the characteristics and essence of the respective element through theoretical knowledge, workshops, group discussions and dynamics, as well as embodied practices, such as Yoga, Qi Gong, Free Diving and Vision Quest.

Chinese Medicine

Chinese Medicine offers a holistic approach to life and health. In this course, we will explore the 5 Elements Theory diving deep into their essence. We will discuss their main characteristics and vibrational qualities, their related seasons, organs, emotions, personality traits, and how to identify possible imbalances and bring them back to harmony. By understanding the fundamentals of Chinese Medicine, students will gain a profound knowledge of the essential nature of themselves and the universe. They will learn how to view the universe through the lens of the 5 Elements and tap into nature’s healing wisdom.

Face Reading

Using the face for diagnosis is one of the original aspects of Chinese Medicine. This is because the face is a map of life experience and a blueprint for the body’s functions. During this course, you will learn which areas of the face correspond to each of the Elements and their respective organs, as well as identifying the signs of strength and weakness related to each of them. From the facial markings, features and colours, you will be able to identify personality traits, assess signs of illness and discover the underlying psychological and emotional issues affecting one’s health.

Face Reading

Faces tell more about us than anything else. Our faces convey a primal language we all know but forget to use. There is so much to see on the face and so many clues about personality and character. Face Reading is more specific than body language and more accurate. It is also an extremely potent tool for enhancing interpersonal communication.
Using the face for diagnosis is one of the original aspects of Chinese Medicine. During this course, you will learn which areas of the face correspond to each of the Elements and their respective organs, as well as identifying the signs of strength and weakness related to each of them. From the facial features, markings, shapes, sizes and colours, you will be able to assess underlying physical, psychological and emotional issues affecting one’s health.

Yogic Practices

Yoga and meditation will be practiced on a daily basis. The classes will follow the concept of 5 Element Yoga Therapy and the styles will vary according to each element. Some of the traditions that will be explored in the yoga classes are: Asthanga, Vinyasa, Yin and Hatha Yoga. Besides asanas (postures) and meditation, you will learn other practices that are part of the yogic tradition, that will assist us in embodying the teachings of the theoretical classes and help us on our journeys inwards. Classes will be guided in a way that includes all levels of practitioners. If you are already a yoga teacher, at the end of the course, you will feel comfortable to create your own Elemental Sequences according to the needs of your students.

Shamanism

Shamanism is based on animism, the belief that everything is living, interconnected and has a spirit. They work with the middle, lower and upper worlds of existence. This comes from an understanding that the world of matter is not our only reality. All the ancient traditions weave with the same divine thread and share the same connection to Source.In this program we will journey alongside their wisdom. We will learn about daily rituals and how to perform ceremonies for the benefit of ourselves, our communities and the planet as a whole.Besides asanas (postures) and meditation, you will learn other practices that are part of the yogic tradition, that will assist us in embodying the teachings of the theoretical classes and help us on our journeys inwards. Free Diving

Free diving is about silence… The silence that comes from within

Free diving is diving under water on a single breath without any equipment. The most natural, direct and intimate way to connect with the ocean and our aquatic nature.
After theory and through specific breathing techniques and mental training, we will dive into the Big Blue to get closer to ourselves and you will be astounded by what you are able to achieve, the boundaries you can deepen, the mental calm and meditative state you can harness under these aquatic conditions.
We are water beings and in this immersion you will get an intimate relation to that aspect of yourself with safe, playful and professional guidance.
In this training we will focus on free-diving as a spiritual practise and how to sync our heartbeat with the heartbeat of the Ocean.
You will be an international certified free-diver after the completion of the Water Element module.

Lets chill – Here the sun is at its highest. You will have time to lounge around, go to the beach, swim in the ocean, rest in the hammock or just soak up the magical surroundings

Yoga Teacher and Lead Trainer, Marcela is passionate about sharing her love for yoga as a tool of empowerment and self-knowledge. During her 15 years of practice, she has trained in 5 Elements Yoga Therapy, Yin Yoga, Pre & Post-Natal Yoga, Ashtanga and Rocket Vinyasa.

Dr. Nienke Stoop
